2010 After-School Ski Program

Harvard Parks and Recreation will be sponsoring their Wednesday
after-school ski program at Wachusett Mountain and registration is now open. 

The program runs for 6 weeks beginning on Wednesday, January 6th. 
The program is available for 5th graders at HES and for students in grades 6 - 12 at Bromfield.  
Equipment rentals and lessons are available.  This is a very popular program and registration is limited so sign up now.  
The deadline for registration is November 20th.

New this year: 
Registration must be done on the Harvard Parks and Recreation website. 
Please click on the 'Register Online' link in the left hand menu. 
The bus fee of $100 must be paid via the Parks and Rec website
and the ski passes must be purchased through Wachusett Mountain by
completing the form and returning it to the club coordinator.

The Wachusett brochures are available at HES and Bromfield main offices, town library and town hall.

We need parent chaperones!!
The ski club needs chaperones to ride the bus and help things run smoothly. 
This is a vital part of our club and we can't operate with them.   
Please indicate on the registration form if you are interesed. 
If we do not have enough volunteers, the club will be cancelled. 
You do not have to ski to be a chaperone but if you do, you ski for free!

Ice Skating in Harvard 

This year, as is years past, the Parks and Recreation Commission will maintain a smooth ice surface on the town reservoir on Bolton Rd.  The public is welcome to skate when the weather allows.  Check back here this winter to find out when the ice is ready for skating.  Help is always needed to assist in clearing the ice.  Please email if you can help.
