2010 Summer Tennis Programs
Youth Lessons
Harvard Park and Recreation is pleased to offer community youth tennis lessons in six 1-week sessions this summer. Classes will run Monday-Friday. Classes will meet at the Bromfield courts. Designed to give beginners and intermediate players all the fundamentals of strokes, scoring and rules. Balls provided, please bring racquet and dress comfortably with appropriate sneakers. Remember to bring water or sports drink and wear sunscreen!
(Please note that all tennis programs are limited to Harvard residents only)
Session 1: July 5 - July 9
Session 2: July 12 - July 16
Session 3: July 19 - July 23
Session 4: July 26 - July 30
Session 5: August 2 - August 6
Session 6: August 9 - August 13
Within these 6 sessions will be the following classes:
- 8:30-9:30 class (beginner, adv beginner) max=15 ages 5 (only Sessions 1, 2, 3, 4 )
- 9:30-10:30 class (beginner, adv beginner) max=15 ages 5
- 10:30-12:00 class (adv beginner, intermediate) max=15 ages 10
- 3:30-5:00 class (beginner-intermediate) max=15 ages 5 (only Sessions 1, 2, 3, 4)
Cost/week: 8:30- 9:30 class……………………….$35.00
9:30- 10:30 class………………….….$35.00
10:30- 12:00 class…………………..$50.00
3:30-5:00 class……………………….$50.00
Adult Lessons
Group adult lessons will be offered on Mondays beginning June 7th through September 27th (excluding July 5th, August 30th, Sept. 6th, Sept. 20th) from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm.
Cost for a lesson is $20 per person for a 1.5 hour lesson.
Registration closes on Thursday at midnight for the following Monday's class.
At least three persons need to be registered to hold a class.
All payments must be made online and is required at the time of registration.
Classes cancelled due to inclement weather can be made up on any other night and must be coordinated through the instructor.
There will be no refunds.
Adult lessons and clinics are taught by tennis pro Lance Anderson.
Private and semi-private lessons are also offered. Times may be arranged directly with Lance.
