Harvard Parks and Recreation would like to introduce our new Waterfront Director
Elizabeth 'Bizzy' Herbolsheimer is a familiar face to many who remember her as a former lifeguard and swim instructor at the beach. Bizzy will bring lots of hands-on experience to the job of Waterfront Director having spent many summers at Bare Hill Pond. In addition to her experience in Harvard, she has experience as Aquatics Supervisor and Water Safety instructor at Sudbury's Atkinson pool and as an assistant swim/diving coach and lifeguard at Carnegie Mellon University. She is currently teaching chemistry at Leominster High School and is looking forward to getting the summer season underway.

Can you leap tall buildings in a single bound, or run faster than a speeding bullet, or throw a ball more than a mile? Are you fast? Do you like to race? Do you have a “good arm”?
Can you and your friends form a fast team?
These informal and fun track and field clinics are designed to familiarize participants with the Hershey Track Meet events. The clinics are organized by David Bell with assistance from current and former Bromfield track team members. Events include a softball throw for distance, the broad jump, and four individual running races of different distances. There is also a 4 x 100 relay. Come with your relay team together, or we can create them at the clinics.
The Hershey track program is a national program involving recreation departments that hold free local and state track meets, culminating in an invitational, all-expense paid trip and competition in Hershey, PA. The program is sponsored by the Hershey Corporation to promote fitness in America’s youth. (www.hersheystrackandfield.com).
